Emulators

Back in the days of the Atari 2600, the Colecovision debuted making a large impact on the entire console scene. Packaged with the arcade hit "Donkey Kong", the Colecovision became the dominant gaming system in the early 80s until the great video game crash prior to the Nintendo Entertainment System. The Colecovision legacy of emulators is a great way to experience the fun games that this system had to offer from Jungle Hunt to Smurfs, many great games were released!

AdamEm v0.2 (MS-DOS)

Based upon Marat Fayzullan's ColEm, AdamEm is both a Colecovision and a Coleco Adam emulator. Every last feature of ColEm v0.4.1 MS-DOS was transfered into this, and sprite clipping, printer control code, non standard video modes, and a few GZipped disk images were added.

AdamEm v0.2 (Linux, MS-DOS, and Unix/X) Based upon Marat Fayzullan's ColEm, AdamEm is both a Colecovision and a Coleco Adam emulator. Every last feature of ColEm v0.4.1 MS-DOS was transfered into this, and sprite clipping, printer control code, non standard video modes, and a few GZipped disk images were added. All 3 ports of AdamEm are archived in this binary.

ColEm v0.4 Plus (MacOS) ColEm for the Macintosh is a very complete Colecovision emulator that has gone through John Stiles's special "Plus" treatment!

ColEm v0.3.1 (OS/2 Xfree86) Xfree86, the X-Windows environment for OS/2 was treated with many emulator ports by Krister Bergman one day, and ColEm v0.3.1 was one of those many ports. None of the ports were ever updated, and the emulator here remains quite outdated.

ColEm v0.4 (Unix/X) ColEm is a simplified version of Marat Fayzullan's popular MSX emulator, fMSX. An update hasn't been made for quite a time, but the MS-DOS porter has, Marcel de Kogel, distributed an updated version for Unix/X of AdamEm!

ColEm v0.1.2 (Windows) Although extremely outdated, ColEm for Windows is quite a fast emulator... other than that, its completely outdated and not worth using!

Cult v1.0 (MS-DOS) Cult is the latest word in Colecovision emulation created by the author of VCS 2600. Many ROMs are included with this distribution, so once you download this emulator you are ready to go. All ROMs are copyrighted by their individual owners. Archaic Ruins will take no responsibility of illegal redistribution of the ROMs.

Mission v1.1 (MSX) Marcel de Kogel's curiosity got the better of him the day that Mission was conceived. The Colecovision ran on a system similar and simpler to the MSX, so Marcel de Kogel realized that there should be a way to have the MSX run Colecovision games. Although far from perfect, Mission takes the MSX the closest to a Colecovision that it can perform!
