Console Cables

Console Cable Link

Click on the above icon for a wonderful tour of the Console Cable web site, after all, the link above was created in hopes of a bright future where people can hook up many of their Console controllers to their computers. Unfortunately, Able Solutions has been extremely unlucky with bad customer response, and erring hardware. The Console Cable has been received by many people and finally, the web page was reduced due to the fact that the Console Cable only works on certain computers!

The Console Cable was an adaptor that was to allow your IBM PC to support controllers from many popular console systems. Console Cables were to be available for N64, Saturn, Playstation, Super Nintendo, Genesis, and many other controllers. With the great Shareware software located on its site, the future of the Console Cable looked great...

Subject: Console Cable sham

Well although this may be a little reassuring or none at all, I recieved

SOMETHING in my mailbox about three weeks ago. It was supposedly a SNES

Console Cable, with two SNES ports, a parallel port and a joystick port. I

have yet to get it to work, though. The console cables guy used to respond

to my emails, but since I got it, he hasn't answered me. It seems that none

of my 4 ibm-compatible computers don't meet the system requirements or the

bi-directional parallel port (i have a compaq pentium 100, 60, a NEC 386,

and a IBM 486).

Now I have a feeling you might get one soon, as I had ordered mine on Dec. 1

and it took three months to come.

Typhoon,

Sorry, can't help you with the unhappy customer report.

I ordered mine dec.14 got it jan.14 or so. Plugged it in,

set up the keys. It works perfectly. I love playing ESNES

with my snes ascii pad, its great. The console cable is wonderful if

you ask me. Well, I'll vouch for this company and product. (one problem

with the shipping is that the company is in Oz land)

oh, and my emails get answered quickly and levine is working on adding a

suggestion of mine as we speak.

later.

I sent you a Console Cable and it was returned 'STREET UNKNOWN'. I sent it

with the last money I had. I'm not sending it again as I sent of 50 cables,

most with no payment to me, and half of them failed. So I give up. I've

spent $10,000 and $40,000 lost income and 2 years all wasted. I am very you

think you have lost your $21.99. It's not a trivial amount to me either. I

live every week, running out of cash before my unemployment benifits are paid.

I will have your refund to you within 2 weeks. This is NO SHAM, things just

didn't work like they were expected to, thats all, and I lost a lot more

that anyone.

regards,

I have been away working and will supply a refund to you and 8 others that

have been inconvenienced ASAP.

Thanks VERY MUCH for your understanding Chris. I certainly don't blame you

for your concern. I will have your Console cable off to you on Monday morning.

Should you hear of anyone else that has not recieved the're cable, I would

like to hear from them and organise a cable/refund.

I really don't wish to quit this altogether. The problem is that the PC

parallel port varies so much between PCs (meaning that while most work a

small percentage won't), and not all PC's have the keyboard emulation

capability (although this could be fixed in my new software).

The EASIEST way to fix the problem is to produce a version that connects to

the keyboard port. I have a couple of working prototypes already. This is

reliable and will work on every desktop, and also laptops with an external

keyboard port. I don't have the money to produce it, BUT I am trying to find

a company that will.

Until then, I will continue to write upgrades for the current version. Any

info that you and your users could offer would be invaluable.

Let me know when your Console cable arrives and if it works. Thanks again!
