Emulators
The Emulation state of the Sega Genesis in short is dead. Both currently
available emulators are extremely slow for the task which they are performing,
and do not feature proper sound. GenEm, the better of the two emulators will
run the majority of Sega Genesis games at a decent speed on a Pentium, but for
486 users, neither emulator suceeds in recreating the feel of a Genesis.

Genem is an incredible emulator in terms of game compatibility, unfortunately,
as far as speed is concerned, GenEm performs poorly. Sonic the Hedgehog 3,
Phantasy Star 4, and all of the classic Genesis games run with incredible
precision. It is very unfortunate that the future of Genem seems nonexistant.
