Emulators

The little known Microsoft-X system received a great amount of attention when Marat Fayzullan create fMSX. Ever since, the MSX has had a prominent place in the emulation community.

CJS MSX Emulator v1.0b (MS-DOS)

CJS MSX Emulator is a very fast and precise MSX emulator, although somewhat outdated. As you can tell from the date, this emulator seems to have been abandoned.

fMSX (FMTowns, x68k, Xfree86-OS/2, PC9800) These version of fMSX are not carried by Archaic Ruins due to their obscure operating systems.

fMSX v1.3 (Amiga) fMSX has been ported to the Amiga thanks to Hans Guijt.

fMSX v1.6b (MS-DOS) The MS-DOS port of fMSX could very well be the greatest version of fMSX yet! With full sound, great speed, and features galore, Marcel de Kogel has outdone himself with this great port of Marat Fayzullan's fMSX.

fMSX v1.5 Plus (MacOS) fMSX has been ported to MacOS and gone through the John Stiles Plus treatment! John's series of ports, MasterGear, interNES, Virtual Gameboy, and ColEm, are all undergoing John's special optimizations, beautifications, and altercations! Its a really nice thing for Macintosh users to have the emulators presented in this type of Deluxe format.

fMSX v0.5 (Playstation) Ridiculous as it may seem, fMSX has been released for the Playstation. I haven't any way of trying this out, so for now, a link is all that will be contained here.

fMSX v1.5 (Unix/X) fMSX is Marat Fayzullan's most complete and complex emulator yet! Unlike his simpler console system emulators, the MSX emulator emulates an entire series of little known computers. Disk support, mouse support, and many other things must be taken into account, and Marat's end job is beautiful.

fMSX v1.5 (Windows) Marat has taken it upon himself to port fMSX to Windows using the WinG graphics library.

Virtual MSX v1.1b (Windows) There are two simple comments to make concerning this emulator; it only supports MSX-1 games, and its BIG. Other than that, it is quite a good emulator, very fast and precise.
