ESNES Exultation

Times change, and it appears that ESNES has finally conquered the almighty $35 Virtual SuperMagicom. After most emulation fans have lost faith in Virtual SuperMagicom after its sudden change from freeware to commercial software, this page is a welcome addition to Archaic Ruins. Carlos A. Lozano, a Spanish college student who is making ESNES as his college project, deserves all of the support he can get.

Carlos is what emulation is all about! Carlos benefits by making the emulator, as do its users, and no one loses anything! The morale towards ESNES is what Virtual SuperMagicom used to have, and its because its a free emulator that is updated. The old days of regular updates to VSMC are over... ESNES is here!

ESNES v0.1
Multi-Game Doctor II File support has been added, screen captures are saved with file names ESNES000.PCX - ESNES009.PCX (8). Also, joypad switching has been added, (4 & 5), SRAM is now in standard format, Mode 7 effect implementation has begun, and the Actraiser logo among many others show awesome spinning effects. A new parameter (-nirq) has been added to disable IRQs which is useful for The Legend of the Mystical Ninja and Super Star Wars.

ESNES Homepage
Carlos maintains a simple distribution site for ESNES containing release notes and a few compatibility pictures.

ESNES Interviews
Check out Archaic Articles! Many chat logs from Lord ESNES are archived there and might be able to answer your questions on the future of ENES!
