Sad But True...
Y0SHi has QUIT the scene.
The emulation scene's greatest guru on NES and SNES emulation has QUIT the scene! Read Y0SHi's reasons in Archaic Articles. Please do not respond to his email unless you ACTUALLY want to talk to him about something important. Y0SHi's decision is one that he himself has made, and pleading for him to return would be futile if you understand his views and what he means to say in his letter. I completely agree with him, and it is a shame for this to happen, but I'm not surprised... I just didn't see it coming this soon... I wouldn't be surprised if this slowly happened to everyone.

I have not been maintaining this page recently due to the site rehaul, and must apologize. Please refer to Dave's Video Game Classics, a great page that focuses on many of the lower end systems and has a very up to date Arcade emulation section. Many great emulators like the Galaga emulator, Mame v0.12, and many others have come out and are not on Archaic Ruins yet. Its worth a look.

Rich Lawrence has emailed me after reading the article on Next Generation Magazine and reports that the mentioned Infocom compilation pack is called "Masterpieces of Infocom" and has been released by Activision for the low price of $19.95. Since Archaic Ruins is limited in its coverage over emulators at the moment, this emulator will be archived on Typhoon Z's harddrive until a later time when Archaic Ruins has a page to house it.
